Swarup Foundation is a registered Public Charitable Trust that aims to connect innovative research with planned interventions and policy change. The Foundation focuses on the fields of gender and child rights, mental health and the promotion of arts and culture.

Understanding how gender works in the creative and cultural fields initiated by Swarup Foundation.

APPROACH SUGGESTED

The Art X Company curated and organised a session addressing the gender biases that creep into liberal spaces. It specifically looked into the problems faced by women and members of mariginalised gender working in creative and cultural spaces.

OUTCOME

A constructive session was held where lectures by experts like Aparna Jain kickstarted and set the tone of the evening. The discussion between Phalguni Desai, Susan Dias, Ruchita Madhok, Vijay Nair, etc gave the listeners an array of perspectives and the open table discussion between the participants and the speakers added to the quality of the outcome.
